This serviced accommodation on Tron Square is located in a quiet area of the Old Town of Edinburgh, but within a few minutes walk to the Royal Mile, the busiest street during the summer festivals. According to Wikipedia:
“The Old Town is the name popularly given to the oldest part of Scotland’s capital city of Edinburgh. The area has preserved much of its medieval street plan and many Reformation-era buildings. Together with the 18th/19th-century New Town, it forms part of a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site.”
The owner of the flat is an well travelled artist/writer, and lived in Mexico for a number of years. He decided to spilt his two bedroom property into two single bed flats. One for him to live, and the other to rent as a serviced accommodation. He took particular care decorating the flat, and the property has a definite style.
As an artist, he understood the importance of presentation and good photographs to market the property he spent so much time renovating. I stayed there for a wonderful chat after the photos were taken and left the property with a copy of one of his novels, “On the run in Dreamtime”.
